Murmuration draws its title from the shifting formations created by large flocks of starlings in flight. Within the moving image, individual marks and fragments accumulate into larger structures that gather, turn, disperse, and reform.

The composition moves between apparent randomness and collective order. Patterns emerge without settling into fixed geometry, producing waves, clusters, and temporary concentrations that continually reshape the visual field.

Through this interplay between individual movement and collective form, Murmuration considers how complexity can arise through accumulation. The work does not reproduce the flight of birds literally, but instead translates its underlying behavior into a continually changing system of motion.
