What is a video painting?
A video painting is an authored moving-image artwork created with light, motion, color, duration, and sound. Each work is issued as a limited edition and presented as a complete artwork rather than as digital content for general use.
What does installation require?
Standard collector presentations are designed to be straightforward to install and operate. Basic mounting and presentation guidance is provided with the work.
Austin-area installation assistance may also be arranged. More complex architectural or AV-integrated installations can be coordinated with appropriate professionals.
Is shipping included?
Shipping, delivery, and installation are quoted separately when applicable because requirements vary by presentation size, destination, and project.
International delivery can also be arranged.
How is the work presented?
Each work is offered in a defined collector presentation, fully configured for continuous playback. Connect power and the artwork begins automatically—no computer, media-player interface, or recurring setup is required.
Larger collector-scale and architectural presentations are available by inquiry.
Can the sound be muted?
No. Sound is part of works that include it, but it may be muted unless a particular artwork or installation specifically requires sound.

Can I see how a work might look in my space?
Yes. For serious acquisition or specification consideration, placement guidance or a visualization may be useful in determining scale, location, and presentation.
What happens if the display needs to be replaced?
The authenticated artwork is not dependent on one particular display lasting forever. Presentation hardware can be replaced with an appropriate contemporary equivalent without changing the artwork's edition identity.
The studio can provide guidance when future migration or replacement is needed.
Do you accept commissions?
Dolphin Brown selectively considers site-responsive commissions when a project calls for moving-image work developed specifically in relationship to its architecture, site, scale, or context.
Existing limited editions are not customized for individual buyers.
